1. What we collect
To create an account and use RentoWheels, we collect: your name, contact details, and account credentials; for renters, a government ID and driver's license for identity verification; payment information, processed by our payment provider (RentoWheels does not store full card details); and, for owners, vehicle listing details including an approximate pickup location.
2. How we use it
We use this information to operate bookings — verifying renter identity before a trip, processing payments and deposits, and connecting owners and renters on a confirmed booking. We also use it to investigate reported disputes and to keep the platform safe from fraud.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with our payment processor to handle transactions, and with our identity verification provider to check ID/license documents. We don't sell personal data to third parties.
4. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through our Contact page. Some information may need to be retained for a period after a request — for example, records tied to a completed booking or an open dispute.
5. Data retention
We keep account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.
6. Philippine Data Privacy Act
We aim to handle personal data in line with the Philippines' Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) — including collecting only what's needed, using it for stated purposes, and giving you a way to request access or deletion.
